Half Moon Bay is an award-winning wholesaler of licensed and themed giftware. We supply a vast number of retailers both large and small throughout the UK, Europe and sometimes the world!
The company began in 1995 by distributing unusual giftware products from the USA (Half Moon Bay is in California!), but the business soon moved into designing and sourcing its own products. Originally developing humorous and quirky gifts, we quickly became known for a love of retro classics and iconic licenses. The company is proud to be representing many of the world’s best entertainment brands including Disney, Superman, Batman, Doctor Who, Sesame Street, The Muppets, Snoopy, VW and Star Wars. The company expanded in 2008 when we acquired Robert Opie Trading Ltd, which used nostalgic images taken from The Robert Opie Collection on a diverse range of products. This gave the business distribution into the heritage, museum and traditional giftware retail markets. Following this acquisition the business started to work with leading food manufactures to develop ranges of licensed homeware products using images from brands such as Marmite, McDougall's, Oxo, Walls, Typhoo, Bisto and Birds Custard. This strengthen the company’s ranges of kitchen textiles and ceramics. In a strategic move, aimed at diversifying and expanding its product offer, the company purchased Opal Crafts in 2014. Established in 1975 Opal Crafts, through its brand Opal London, is a leading supplier of personal spa and bathroom related giftware items. As Half Moon Bay goes through 20 years of trading we are split into four product divisions:
Based from converted stables in central Bath, with our own distribution centre in Westbury, Wiltshire, we are a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced team who get a real buzz out of what we do. We remain an independent family owned business, whose simple mission is to offer our retail customers products that sell at consumer level, backed up by a straight forward and easy to deal with customer service approach.
